Newtek International, Inc. is a CMMI Systems Engineering/Software Engineering Maturity Level 2 appraised organization; at maturity level 2, requirements, processes, work products, and services are managed.

Newtek is CMMI Maturity Level 2 in the Systems Engineering (SE) and Software Engineering (SW) disciplines. Our Systems Engineering focuses on development of total systems; ; our Software Engineering focuses on applying systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance of software. Our CMMI Maturity Level 2 SE/SW procedures provide our clients the confidence in our abilities to plan, design, engineer, implement, and deploy robust systems engineering effort and achieve high quality software engineering that serve our clients’ mission. Our 6 process areas for SE/SW - Requirements Management, Project Management, Supplier Agreement Management, Processes and Product Quality Assurance, Configuration Management combine to achieve a QMS that is accountable, capable, repeatable, and successful.

Newtek’s CMMI Maturity Level 2 procedures are designed with internal control to verify and validate all activities being performed on a project; the QMS is strict in controlling cost, schedule and performance. Periodic audits against performance, configuration items, project monitoring and control are performed to analyze the current state of a project. Continuous measurement and analysis is performed to identify material weakness in processes and products; process and product quality assurance resolves all non-compliance and quality issues. Our robust quality procedures are in place to verify and validate that all Information Technology products and services meet the objectives set forth by our clients.

ISO 9001:2000 is the latest ISO 9000 series of quality standards that aims to enhance customer satisfaction and quality assurance in products; achieve quality management. This means what the organization does to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer and applicable regulatory requirements and continually to improve its performance in this regard. Newtek’s ISO certified Quality Management System (QMS) reflects the requirements and objectives in ISO 9001:2000 for management responsibility, resource management, product realization, and measurement, analysis and improvement. Newtek’s QMS serves as an organizational standard that emanates a total quality policy in all business activities; continuous improvement is achieved through periodic internal audits, document control, and strong internal communications. . Newtek has been audit for 3 consecutive years by Intertek Testing Services and our QMS has successfully been recertified/ renewed in December 2005.

ISO 9001:2000 and the Newtek QMS are strict in project management and product realization. Our commitment to quality for all services and products that will be rendered to our clients is reflected in our top management. The Senior Managers are responsible for ensuring that product quality planning is performed according to the QMS Project Management Procedure.
